Make July 6th Rock & Roll Day

Quite simply, Elvis recorded his first record, "That's All Right," on July 6th, 1954 (some say it was July 5th, however the recording session began in the evening of the 5th, so the recording itself of "That's All Right," happened after midnight- on the 6th), which officially began the Rock & Roll onslaught.

And on July 6th, 1957, Paul McCartney met John Lennon, and the future of music began to change almost immediately.

So really, the question isn't "Why make July 6th International Rock & Roll Day?"

It's, "Why hasn't this already happened?"  I don't have a good answer for that one.  So let's try and change that.  Where do we start?
